Summary:

Objectives:
Given a set of derivatives from Unit 1 Latin roots, students will be able to match the derivatives with their Latin root.
Given the meaning of the Latin root in a derivative, a sentence using the derivative and a dictionary, students will be able to hypothesize the meaning of the English derivative and analyze the accuracy of their hypothesis.
Students will be able to apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
