NEGATIVE COMMANDS
To command someone to not do something, you need the irregular verb, nolle, which means “to not want.” Add the imperative form of nolle (Nōlī or Nōlīte) before the infinitive form of another verb to command a person not to do the action.
Singular: Nōlī portāre! (Don’t carry!)
Plural: Nōlīte portāre! (Everybody, don’t carry!)
